Getting to the Park

There is a park near our house that we have walked to many times.  We have walked, pushed strollers, ridden scooters, and ridden bikes.

Today was Addie's first time going on her new roller blades.  I have to say I didn't think she would make it there and back on her new wheels.  She was fully prepared with all the padding and a determined spirit.

Ben was prepared with 2 pop guns.

Riding over the uneven side walks was not easy, but she did so well.

Malachi was using his tricycle and he loves it.  He is a wild man at the wheel so he rode on just the back tires.

Garrett took a hard fall, but he is so tough, he popped right back up.

At the park Malachi showed his determination to keep up with the big kids.  He can now climb this ladder all by himself.

I love this look.

Spring in Paris is just beautiful.

Addie needed to take a break.

My favorite picture of the day.

Nannie ended up with both guns and both scooters and we finished our walk through the park.

And on the way home we stopped for the flowers.  These flower beds get changed out regularly and I just love them.

This tree is one of my favorites right now. I love how fluffy the blossoms look right now.

And then we made it home and we all felt a bit like this.  Addie did make it all the way to the park, around the park and home on her roller blades.  I was so proud of her.

I love this walk and I am going to miss it when we move.  The flowers, the houses, and the fun park have meant so much to us over the last 2 years.  I am thankful we have a couple more months to enjoy and that they are the most beautiful months of the year.

Happy Easter Sunday 2015

The kids woke up excited to see what the Easter Bunny had left for them.

The big kids were all excited about their BIG chocolate eggs.

These are not solid eggs, they have a surprise inside.

Bennett was so funny this morning, he was being such a ham for the camera.

Garrett does not usually like to look at the camera and smile, but he did today with his treats.

One of my brocante finds from yesterday.  While I was shopping I grabbed a plant to go in it.  I love spring time in Paris now that it has stopped raining.

We got to church early so I took a quick photo of the kids in case something happened.

After the service I helped get the food set up for our park activities.  I love getting to use some of my treasures to make things more beautiful, especially when they are functional too.

There were games that Addie did very well at, but I was busy keep the food stocked.  Then the kids were ready for the egg hunt.  The boys were ready.

Garrett was moving quickly.

Ben was intent on getting eggs.

Malachi was in a different area, he was so cute putting the eggs into the bag, until he realized there was something in the eggs.

Then I ran across the field to where Addie was collecting her eggs to get some action shots.  She stopped momentarily for me to take this photo.

And then she was off again.

This is the park we get to go to for our church activities.  It is on an island in the Seine, just outside of Paris.

Time to empty the eggs and go through the candy.

Malachi was having so much fun with the empty eggs.

Happy Easter from our family to yours.

He is Risen, He is Risen indeed!

The Grand Trianon at Versailles

I know I have not been posting much lately.  Life has been BUSY!  I have been posting a few things over at www.brocantetreasures.com.

Today's adventure included a trip to Versailles to tour the Grand Trianon with a guide.  It was an amazing day and I took a few pictures.  You can see it all here.

I hope you are having a beautiful spring!
