Last night after our busy day Garrett finally got to open his Easter Basket. Here he is posing with his hat and his bunny.
He is a very happy boy, but I have a hard time capturing his smiles on the camera. Here is one of his little grins.
He was loving on his bunny, it was so sweet.
This is what he was looking at, Daddy and Addie trying to get him to smile.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter Everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful day. This morning we all got up early to get ready for church. The Easter Bunny had left us all some treats.
Ben had fun opening his basket of goodies.
Addie was not shy about digging into hers either.
A fun highlight of the morning was Skyping with Nannie and Aunt Laura. They got to see the kiddos dig into their baskets and hear the chaos that is our family right now.
Addie carried her basket around with her all morning. She has learned that nothing is safe from Bennett.
We had to wake Garrett up to get him ready for church. He had time to pose with one of our bunnies.
Trying to get pictures before church.
I love my two little men.
A picture with Mommy.
Then it was time for the off centered picture that we used the self timer to take.
Addie got into my stash of picture M&Ms. This is the bad of candy I pull out when we need the kids to sit for pictures. I like that it has white ones because they don't stain Ben's clothes or hands.
After church we decided to get a few more shots. I love Ben in his little man outfit. He did really well with the tie and everything.
Addie looked so sweet in her little dress. I bought this last year and it was my inspiration for the rest of the family's outfits.
Trying to get Ben to stand still for a picture is not easy.
A family picture,
And a picture of just Jon and I!
Thanks to our awesome neighbor, Mr. Barry.
After church we got all changed and headed up to Magnolia to have lunch with our friend Cody's family. His whole family lives here in Houston and they were all getting together today and they were gracious enough to invite us to tag along. The food was amazing, the company was delightful, the volleyball game was spirited, and the Easter Egg hunt was entertaining. The kids did great, and I think everyone there enjoyed being around a younger crowd (our kids were the only ones under the age of 8). I volunteered to drive home because Jon has had a busy weekend and this is what our van looked like on the way home. I took this at a stop light near our house.
No one was in a very good mood after a too short nap. Addie was giving me plenty of attitude, and she did not like it being captured on film.
Bennett did not make it past his night-night. He came through the door, saw his blanket and laid down.
We will have an early night tonight, but it was all so worth it to spend the day with friends celebrating our Risen Lord.

So Sweet
Most of the time these two are making each other crazy and getting each other into trouble. There are moments though when they are so sweet to each other. I love these moments that I don't have to stage them for a picture or tell them to be nice to each other. They are watching An American Tale, one of my favorite movies as a kid, Addie thinks it is a little scary, but they seem to like it.

Rapunzel
Last night we had friends over for dinner and by the end of the night Bennett was chasing all of the girls around the house with a plastic frying pan trying to hit them. Our poor guests were running away from him as fast as they could. We couldn't figure out why he was attacking people with cookware. Finally Holly realized he was acting out the new movie Tangled. Rapunzel uses a frying pan in the movie as her weapon. I didn't get a picture last night, but this morning Addie decided to dress up like Rapunzel. Thank you to Nannie for the purple dress that Addie is willing to use as a Rapunzel dress and the crown. The little red thing is Pascal from the Disney Store. And of course the frying pan.
And this is what happens when you have a big sister and are too little to defend yourself.
We are having a nice relaxing morning at home trying to get things picked up. That never works as well as I think it will because the kids keep coming behind me making more messes. We are still having fun though.

Bath Time Fun
Big Shoes to Fill
Sunday morning photo shoot
Ben is growing quickly so I wanted to make sure he got to wear this outfit at least one more time. Jon always thinks he looks like our little preacher, I love the little tie and vest combo. I was so hopeful of getting some good pictures of Addie and Ben before church this week.
Things started out okay, but I started to get a little bit of attitude from Addie.
She tried loving on Ben a little,
but Ben did not like that very much.
So he left, with his dancing duck.
And poor Addie was heart broken,
or maybe not so heart broken after all.

More Easter Fun - Decorating Eggs
This year I decided to dye eggs with the kids for the first time. I had gotten a couple of egg dyeing kits at the after Easter sales next year one princess kit and one Elmo kit so both Addie and Ben were very excited.
But for some reason Ben was really upset while I was dyeing the eggs.
A quick photo op of Garrett and Addie.
Addie and I had on matching bracelets that didn't quite make it into the picture. Addie is very into matching with people lately, it is so sweet.
When we gave Ben his egg to decorate this is what he did with it. We finally realized why he was freaking out during the dyeing process, he wanted what was inside the egg. He thought their was chocolate inside these eggs too. He is such a funny little man.
Jon kept trying to put stickers on Ben's egg and he would get mad and take them off.
Garrett and Nana were watching the craziness.
We finally peeled the egg and let Ben eat it. The funny thing was he loved it.
Here is Addie's egg.
And Ben's egg.
And here is Ben when I took his egg away to take a picture of it.
Addie was very proud of her work.
Daddy thought it was beautiful.
By the time it was all over with all of the eggs had been at least nibbled on.
This is what the end of our egg decorating experience looked like. It was so much fun to be able to do this with the kids this year. I am looking forward to doing more of these crafts in the coming years.
